Race: Seneca 7 (77.7 Miles) 10:05:00, Place overall: 22, Place in age division: 3
Total Distance
12.50

I ran as part of a bike team in the Seneca 7 relay yesterday, it is a 77.7 mile relay around Seneca Lake, right in the shadow of the Hill Cumorah.  When not running my legs we biked to the next exchange point, unfortunately they did not have enough water out so pretty much everyone was gassed on the second half.  I got 65 "kills" though I'm pretty sure most of my teammates were then murdered back by the other teams.  That's the real issue, people always fail to write on their van how many ties they have been killed, so the statistics are just widely skewed.

Very long day, woke up at 5:45 AM and got back to my place at 10 and not to sleep until a while after.  We managed 22 out of about 220 and 3rd bike team.

The hill Cumorah was the sight of an epic battle in the Book of Mormon where about a quarter million people died ("only" about 8,000 died at Gettysburg) so you can just imagine the archeological treasure trove if they would excavate the site!

From Jake K on Sun, Apr 26, 2015 at 13:52:36 from 70.199.137.118

Wow that really puts Kevin's measly 65 kills in perspective!

Although you have to imagine in the BoM ages the families were huge so 250,000 is probably like 60,000 in modern times.

From allie on Sun, Apr 26, 2015 at 14:27:24 from 24.99.46.55

you won't find anything if you excavate the site. all treasures buried there have been taken back to heaven.

From Rob Murphy on Sun, Apr 26, 2015 at 15:26:21 from 24.10.247.181

There were more people killed in that battle than in Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined. God really took all one million Nephite chariots back to heaven?

From steve ash on Sun, Apr 26, 2015 at 16:46:59 from 65.130.161.90

Not the same Cumorah Rob. The other which you refer to is thought to be in Veracruz, Mexico. No one really knows for sure however.. Not playing the apologist, just merely putting this out there.

From Rob Murphy on Sun, Apr 26, 2015 at 17:41:48 from 24.10.247.181

Why does your work reimburse you for running a race? Is this one of those benefits I'm always reading about that progressive 21st century companies have and that school districts in Utah will never have?
