welcome back to the blog. Those bike workouts will definitely help your quad strength for Boston.

I have to ask. What is an imbibation? I found imbibition which means, "defined as the displacement of one fluid by another immiscible fluid."

That's a good plan young man. My friend Dick Beardsley spent a lot of time in Atlanta ahead of his shootout with that Salazar punk at Boston.

The only way to race in the heat is to train in the heat and the new reality is that Boston in April is a warm weather race.

Democrats?

I wouldn't know. We don't have them in Utah.

From Redd on Fri, Nov 07, 2014 at 11:03:27 from 63.115.100.198

Rob, I think the work comes from deimos, meaning the devil, and crat, which means cry. So their party is literally the cry of the devil.

Nice etymology lesson. Now that I've learned something, I can turn off my brain for the rest of the weekend.

From Rob Murphy on Fri, Nov 07, 2014 at 12:52:43 from 163.248.33.220

Why are they so common in states like New York?

From MarkS on Fri, Nov 07, 2014 at 14:47:36 from 114.149.227.206

you have heard how they got democrats in Utah haven't you. One of the objections to Utah becoming a state was the lack of having a two-party system, so Brigham Young had a meeting with the men of the church, and said that everyone on one side of the room would be Democrats and the others on the other side of the room would be Republicans.

Weird weekend, was pretty much trapped in my apartment all weekend waiting for my new furniture, but did manage to sneak out for a date with an ex D1 runner.  I had unpure thoughts about her, so I prayed a bit after.  Finally got out for a few miles around the city, really decent weather, but winter is coming.

Hope you scored a 2nd date so your impure thoughts can come to fruition. Can't believe you're going to come here when I'm gone - at least you get to meet my better and much cuter half!

From Redd on Mon, Nov 10, 2014 at 14:23:20 from 63.115.100.198

Hopefully, still looking at tickets. $700+ for flights is a bit steep. But I'm pretty sure they will come down, hoping I can find a good one tomorrow morning.

From Jake K on Mon, Nov 10, 2014 at 15:50:11 from 199.190.170.28

$700? That's crazy talk. Stupid democrats!

7 before work, beautiful out. Today is supposed to be in the 60s before falling off a cliff.  I may even have to triple with how nice its going to be, and beginning tomorrow not be.

7 Lumch tempo, beautiful out 64 with a nice breeze, did 5 in 28:44 (547, 545, 543, 550, 539) the 4th mile has a nice little uphill in it.  I think the better time came from taking a little better care of my legs, the great weather and just getting the hang of this pace again.

Did you know that Monster Energy drink is satanic in nature?

When life gives you 65 degree weather at 9pm in November you go for another 4 mile run. Tomorrow the high is 40 then all down hill from there.

Looks like it may be adult snow week, crazy stuff.  My parents got about 4 feet and here in the city we got 6-8", the winds died down and it wasn't snowing too bad so I snuck out for a run.  Saw a group running out there too as I was getting back home.  The next two days look nasty again so I will probably be back inside.

Ask Solinski how his hamstring is feeling during warmups... get in his head a little.

You probably can't beat Derrick, so I don't have any advice on how to approach that situation.
